About Tina

I have always been hugely interested in alternative therapies and rarely take pills. I consider myself to be spiritual and body aware.

Whilst I have huge respect for the medical profession, over the years, I have witnessed people that I love being treated for so many conditions that led me to question how that can be useful, particularly as the treatments have not always worked and indeed have often triggered body responses requiring more medication. My own Mother was taking pills for one thing and pills to correct the pills and generally spent the last few years of her life housebound because she was so ill. This is when my belief that there must be alternatives was confirmed.

I trained in Anatomy and Physiology and holistic massage in 2007 and I have always enjoyed massage as a form of pampering and relaxation, but it was when I read an article on Bowen that I got very excited, it was just as I was recovering from an operation. Having had a major gynaecological operation I felt out of salts and my body felt unbalanced. The first time I had Bowen I felt all sorts of strange things going on in my body, even though I was left for ages after little moves that I hardly felt were applied. That night I felt like I had been hit by a bus. But the next day I felt great, energy levels had increased and I instinctively knew that I was on the mend.

I knew that I wanted to be able to administer Bowen and immediately researched how to go about it.

I trained and qualified with The European College of Bowen Studies, completing over 100 treatments on clients as case studies and attending workshops and assessments. I have since attended, and will continue to attend their workshops for qualified practitioners as well as other workshops as the research and dissections and unravelling of the body and the connecting fascia tissue is evolving and providing evidence that I believe will be significant in the future; offering people proven alternatives to medication and prescription drugs.

Whist in my initial training I saw some amazing results with my case studies and since qualifying I am continuously amazed and excited by my client’s responses to the moves that I put in.  A person’s own body is a powerful thing. I do not profess to understand it all; indeed new things are being discovered and developed every day. I just know, based on the clients that I have treated, that it works and I feel privileged that I can help people to feel better.
